Whitaker
windows pass test with flying colours
As part of the Kitemark scheme, manufacturers are submitted to
an annual random test of their windows to assess performance. During
one such recent scrutiny carried out at Whitaker’s Denholme
site, a window was selected at random from their normal production
line. Subsequent testing revealed that it had achieved the highest
standard (class 4 air permeability). Furthermore it was said to
have passed the test with extreme competence.
This same window was weather tested and even under the maximum
pressure of 1000Pa it showed absolutely no signs of leakage. Last
but not least the window also passed BS 7950 security standard,
and is therefore accepted by the Association of Chief Police Officers
as meeting their preferred specification within the ‘Secured by Design’ initiative.
This bears testimony to the outstanding performance of Whitaker
Window products and Whitaker's commitment to research, testing
and continuous improvement.
